Description: Miyako has long black hair with bangs above her eyes. She has green eyes and an over-all "nice person" look to her wither her school-girl-esque clothes and baggy khaki-colored pants. She has a girl-ish figure and is average height and is light(but healthy) weight. She doesn't look like much but her frame provides her with the speed and agility required for fast-paced sword battles. What she lacks, though, is brute force and she isn't very strong.
Weapons/Abilities: Miyako is a skilled swords(wo)man and it is her main way of fighting. She tends to try to soften opponents by talking them down, making them angry, confused, etc., thsu making her less suited for battles against multiple opponents. Miyako is a close-range fighter and doesn't really have a defence set up for long-range opponents. Instead, she tries to manipulate or evoke an opponent into coming into her range. She tends to avoid making the first move.
Background: Miyako was born in Sol a few years before Rufus took over. She grew up fighting off bandits and thieves and traveling with her fathers merchant caravan. Her mother taught her to read, write, and do arithmetic by candle at night and by sunlight filtered through small, dusty windows while traveling during the day. Her father often offered to carry travelers for a small fee or in exchange for other goods. Many of them were refugees, others were merchants who had lost everything, and still others were soldiers. If Miyako's father wasn't afraid that they'd kill him and his family if he refused them rides, he wouldn't let the ones from Ragalia travel at all.
Some of the travelers were freelance soldiers or mercenaries. Many of them would give Miyako lessons in their respective weapons in exchange for there rides. It was one of those freelance mercanaries- a man from Alondia who had been traveling through Sol- that made Miyako decide what she wanted to do. One day, while giving Miyako lessons in exchange for his passage, he gave her a sword. It was a new sword made from Alondian steel, excellently crafted. That same night, bandits attacked. The young swordsman defended Miyako and her family. He drove off the bandits, but was badly injured and died a few days later. A few weeks after he died, Miyako made the decision to leave Sol and her family to head to Amina and fight against Rufus under the Amina/Alondia alliance.
Personality: Miyako is a strong-willed girl. She tends to be silent, and only speaks when spoken or she feels like she wants to say something. She isn't shy though, and can argue a point accross quite effectively, without stumbling or muttering. She can be assertive, or even agressive, if need be. She enjoys libraries.
