Almost like home

She nodded at that but was somewhat taken back. She didn't let it show though, the ears were a nice touch, she wish she had them.
Hell, she wishes she was something other then a vampire, even a human would be better then a blood sucking being.
"It's not easy to hide though. When you become..." She lowered her voice and leaned toward him since she could hear that the couple was talking about her already. "When you become one of us... Then you get so used to talking fast... talking under your breath all the time. And then you get used to moving fast as well... When you're used to things, it's hard to break the habit." Her eyes were hard and truthful as she leaned back against the chair again.

"Habits can still be broken." He states, smiling sympathetically. "Besides, I eat humans. I don't know about you, but I think that's worse than drinking blood."

And it's not like he had the choice to become what he is now. He would've chosen to be a vampire over being.. this, any day.

"True, I don't act any different.. or maybe that's just me." The smile fades to something a bit more melancholic, almost empty. "I can't really tell anymore, what I'm feeling."

"Habits are habits." She said with a sigh. "I hate being like this. It's the only way I live." She shuddered at the thought of eating a human. Eating a human, not just taking the blood.
"And if you have to know, usually when you take blood from a human..." She kept her voice quiet. "They either get the venom in them and get turned, or... They end up dying from blood loss..." She said confidently, closing her eyes.
She remembered his last statement he had said and was going to say something to it, but she kept her mouth shut and looked like she hadn't been thinking of anything at all.

"Human blood does taste rather nice, though it gets messy.. or it could be just me." He taps his chin as though thinking about it. "I don't get to 'feed' often, though. Always feel weird after eating.. sleep for days, waste time."

He shrugs with a light chuckle. "Well, at least there will only ever be one of me in this world.. hopefully."

Oh, he'll make sure of it. If those scientist try anything like what they did all those years ago, Neon would hunt down every last one of them and the results of the experiment. They didn't belong in this world, after all.

She quickly jumped off the subject as the waitress came to put their plates down on the table for the two.
"How long have you been here?" She wondered then turned to the waitress nicely, "Thank you."
The waitress seemed to nod and then turn with a roll of her eyes, then walked off. That was weird for Rose, she's never seen that before, or experienced it, but she just shrugged it off.
"I wasn't able to find you until recently, so not long I suppose?" She questioned, picking up the fork and twirling it in her fingers.

"Amina? Just arrived this morning. I was chasing after some guys and wasn't paying attention where I was.. so here I am!" Neon laughs like it's no problem at all and waves a dismissive hand, thanking the waitress briefly before turning his attention the food.

So he eats humans. Doesn't mean he can't enjoy the taste and texture of normal food, though it's not as satisfying as eating the species he used to be. And besides, the food looks and smells appetizing.

She nods and then smiles, using her fork to pick up one of the small slices of food sitting on the plate.
Eating food was something weird for her, her body didn't need it anyway. It needed the blood of a human, that's what she wanted. She was actually craving for it now, the more she thought about it.
"Sounds..." She said, swallowing the bite she had, trying to get rid of the thought of the humans around her. "Like it's a coincidence." she couldn't think of the right word for it, even that sentence sounded weird. She couldn't get her mind off the blood, how much she was craving for it and how many people there were around.
No... Not here... Anywhere but here... She thought to herself and then let out a sigh in her mind.

"Mm, probably is." Neon is visible enjoying his meal - the taste of it, at least. It doesn't give him much in terms of nutrients or energy. Just flavor to an otherwise boring existence.

"You don't have to eat if you don't want to. There's no need to keep pretending." He already knows, after all, that she doesn't need to eat. Unless of course, she's trying to keep from standing out by sitting in front of a plate of food and not eating anything.

"I... I know." She stuttered, taking in another bite of food.
She hasn't eaten near this many humans, and with the thought of blood running through their veins, it was so hard to control herself around them.
She swallowed again and then her hands stiffened for a moment but she was able to stop herself from jumping out of her seat and launching herself at one of the humans. She dropped her fork and slumped in her seat, covering her nose with her eyes closed.
It's so hard... She thought and tried not to take in another breath of air. Haven't fed for days...
She opened one of her eyes and glanced back down at the food.
Looks so unappetizing... She thought to herself and swallowed.

Giant rocks fell from the sky as Theo finishes his magical training. He wipes away the beads of sweat with his arm; his whole body was practically wet.

"Ugh, I need a shower..."

He looked up at the sky.
"Wait... it's still morning... I should have finished by sundown..."

He thought for a moment. I ate lunch first... then I went to take a nap...
His stomach growled extremely loud.
"..."

"I SLEPT THROUGH DINNER AND BREAKFAST?!" He put his hands on his head. "Oh why?!"

Shaking his head, he thought aloud to himself, "Well its still morning... I can still have my breakfast."
Taking all of his clothes, he carried them in the air with his own pure mana. "I'll be dry once I get to the inn." With hunger driving him, Theo rushed back into the city.

Opening the inn door, Theo breathed heavily, only to have dried off a bit. "Gr... I still can't wear my clothes yet." Irritated, he sat down at a table and lay his clothes and armor down on the floor next to him. He raked his fingers through his hair, not noticing who was right at the table behind him as he waited for a waitress to come by.

"Something wrong, Rose?" Unfortunately, Neon's not familiar with vampires' reactions to hunger. In fact, he's learned to ignore his own for a while, as long as he needs to, until his job is done.

The door of the inn opens again, and normally, he would've ignored it, but something compels him to turn at look just as the blonde from earlier sat down at the table behind them.

Vampire companion forgotten, Neon reaches over roughly guestimates where the blonde's eyes are, covering them with his fingers.

"Guess who~?"

Before it got out of control, she stood up. The last person that entered made it too much for her, she didn't even notice who the person was, but she did know that his scent was familiar.
Is that... What's his name..? She thought for a moment then shook her head.
She turned on her heel and started out of the lobby. "I'll be back later." Was all she could say, and it was soft, though she knew very well that Neon would be able to hear her. At least, that's what she hoped.
She left the lobby and was left to wander the streets of the city.

Not even knowing who it is, Theo grabbed whoever's arms it was and as a reaction flipped him over onto the floor. Only after he had done his action did he recognize who it was.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Theo took his arm, helping him up. "I apologize sir... um..."

Instead of exploding into anger or being pissed off or whatever natural reaction people had (whining in pain included), Neon winces as his back makes uncomfortable contact with the floor and starts laughing as he's helped to his feet.

"It's fine~ No big deal. My fault for surprising you!" He smiles, not at all angered, and dusts off his cloak. "How goes the workout? You're still covered in sweat, from what I can see~" And smell. Hm.

"Oh... yeah..." Theo looked down at himself. "I should really take a bath... or at least dry myself off..."
He sighed and sat down, cracking his neck from exhaustion.

"So mister... I remember you talking to someone else. Where is that young lady?"

"Ah, she doesn't like crowds much, so she said she'd wait outside," Neon replies, shrugging. "You could take a shower, unless your stomach is more important than hygiene~"

To be honest, Neon expected more muscle from someone with such strength, but again, from what he can see, the blonde looks a bit like himself. Lean, only slightly muscled, yet still strong in their own respective ways.

"Oh, where are my manners," Neon smiles and extends a hand. "My name's Neon. You are..?"

"Ah yes..." Theo hesitated a little, then stretches out his arm, taking the Neon's hand. "I'm Theo. Don't mind the crown thingy you saw before." He laughed.

"So Sir Neon," he said as retracted his arm, "what business brings you here?"

"I still need to know where I am and what's going on in this world..."

She walked down the streets of Amina letting her eyes guide the way back to the hotel. She had great reflexes to not run into anybody, so she didn't worry about that.
She felt so weak against her desire that if she was touched, she was done, she wouldn't be able to control herself.
She looked up the moment she was back in front of the Inn and ran around the left of it so she would get to where the room was. She jumped up and landed on the window sill, slipping inside of the room with ease. Her black cloak was propped in her hand and her arms slid through the sleeves quickly.
Can't... Can't stay here... She thought to herself.
"Oh hello!" A lady said from a distance.
Rose turned her head to look at the lady and then her eyes widened.
"H-Hello..." She said back, trying not to breath.
Don't come over... Don't come over....... She thought to herself, putting a hand up to her nose.

"Oh, but that 'crown thingy' must mean you're a prince, correct?" Neon inquires with obvious interest. After all, it's not every day you see a prince wandering around outside the castle. Or share the same room with one.

Or see said prince shirtless. Indeed, his day is getting better. Much better.

"So," Neon crosses his arms, smiling bemusedly. "Shall I be addressing you with terms of respect? My Lord?"

And he hopes that Rose isn't getting herself into too much trouble. He won't be able to help her out if she does.

Theo rubbed his forehead. "No please, don't call me that... I'm tired of everyone calling me King and stuff... telling me I should be..."

He shook his head. "Ah nevermind." Looking around, he said, "Your friend has been out for a while. Are you sure you don't want to check up on her?"

"First time I've seen royalty as humble as you are." He comments with a curious humming. "And please, call me Neon. There's no need to tack on a 'Sir'. I'm completely unworthy of being addressed as such."

As for Rose... well, as he said before. They might find her in time before she loses control.. or they may not, in which case they will shrug and just assume the worst. Well. Neon will. He doesn't know how Theo would react.

"I'm sure Rose will be fine. Better out there than in a place as stuffy as here. Not that it's bad in here, of course."

At least, out there, she can hide somewhere while feeding.

"Ah... very well. If you say so." Theo looked toward the door, wondering why he was so concerned.

He turned back to Neon. "Erm... So anyways, do you mind telling me about this world and the situation? I'm from... very far away."

"I'm sorry to come into your room on such short notice!" The lady said with a shy giggle.
"D-Don't worry about it..." Rose said and smiled up at her, keeping her eyes closed. "I was just about to leave too." She buttoned the cloak and started to the door, swallowing long and hard as she passed by the woman.
She felt a hand touch her skin, her skin, and she jumped, her body becoming completely still.
"Are you sure ther-" The woman was cut off and the door was slammed shut as Rose brought her back into the room in a second.
Rose licked her lips and bent down to her preys neck, closing her eyes as the melodic like scream ran through the room.
Rose would think that the room next door could hear that scream so maybe Neon would as well. Maybe not. It depends if he was listening in for her. Or listening for something in general.

"Ah, I'd love to, but I've only just arrived here myself. As for this world.. I'm not sure what you mean," Neon smiles apologetically. "My perspective would be much more different than the next per--"

And then there's the scream. Oh, what a wonderful sound it is.. and it's coming from the hotel. A room in the hotel. Mainly.. Neon's and Theo's.

Joy.

"--son's..." He trails off, glancing towards the stairs with a thoughtful look. Should he go, or should he stay and let Rose finish? If she's that famished, it might be better to do the latter...

Theo turned toward the stairs.

"Was that a scream I heard?" he inquired. "Coming from my room?"

He started toward the steps to the upstairs floor. "Cmon, we better take a look."
