for your battles?

using your battle, a person will never defend when they can attack, because there is a high chance that they will fail/partially fail when defending. take in mind that if one keeps defending, they will never win


a better calculation is that when one defends, there is a chance that they will (1)miss at defending, (2)defend all of the damage, or (3)take half damage and inflict the other half back at the attacker. this way, there is a more equal chance for the defender to win.

any elements or attributes? (fire, water), (stun, poison)

there should be a difference between long range and short range, magical and physical, because it would be weird for a character to swing a sword and hit when another person is shooting a gun 200 meters away

will there be an mp bar?

the icons for attacking and defending are a little too large, shrink by 1/2, and there should not be two icons, one is enough to show damage

also keep please keep in mind that the battle system is still a work in progress >_>
i need to have more tests. The dice I have for defending is
Success 2:3 ratio
Fail 1:3 ratio
i may raise success to a 3:4 and fail 1:4
plus ive already planned a counter attack choice (i just havent implemented it yet). Less damage, less accuracy. Its an all or nothing attack
and dont forget the players take turns going first

and yes there will be an MP bar, its in the character sheets

i dont know if ill make it more complicated. I might for people who are already used to the system. Lets keep it simple for now

cuz i think the icons are the right size ._. 100x100... its a hassle to shrink them all again...

oh and the two icons thing showing which chance you used and the results i cant change... ill try to find a way (i dont like it either)

i just don't see why anyone would want to defend...
