Escape the Town Labyrinth!

Rai quickly used substitution jutsu and replaced himself with a log tagged with a paper bomb.
He then took out his sword and it started to heat up. A burst of flame spurted out from his sword and was aimed straight at the assassin.

"Son of a-" Arrai wasn't one to normally swear but I think this time it was appropriate. His back had almost been scratched as he jumped forward, spinning around to face her.

"Sorry honey, but you really just need to die." He dashed forward close enough in case she decide to reappear and sliced his blade through her throat. The massive size of the blade cut her head off entirely.

As her body crumpled to the floor he leaned down and scooped up the head in his hands. He stared into her eyes half expecting her to laugh at him, and the for her body to suddenly come back to life and capture him with a tentacle or thorny protrusion. The thought of tentacles made him shiver. 'Ugh...just like some cheesy hentai anime or something.....I am not ready to be fondled by tentacles.'

Larien grasped his bleeding arm. The bird's beak had dug deep into his flesh. 'Damn.' He was losing a bit of blood which would definately put him on edge.

"You have to be more careful, Lala." He could hear Arrai's voice in his ear, a distant memory playing through his mind. "You don't want me to kill you, do you?"

"I don't care. It doesn't matter anymore" Larien responded to the memory.

"You know it wasn't your fault." Larien gripped tighter into his flesh digging his nails deeper into the wound. "You can't help it. Those villagers were just unfortunate." Blood dripped down his arm as crimson drops soaked the ground. "They didn't help none either. After all,"

"No....don't..."

"they probably all deserved to die."

"NO!" He yelled into the abyss. "No...." He whispered now. He needed to get out of here. His fingers were dug deep in the flesh and he had to quickly remove his nails that were protruding in a claw like manner. "I won't stop until I've repented. No one deserves to die." Larien removed his sword from the carcass of the dead vulture and then sheathed both of them. "I have to keep moving." Larien looked forward into the mist and started running. Best to be a moving target then a stationary one. Now he had another agenda. No matter what he had to get out of here. And fast.

Up ahead, Larien saw what he thought might be the entrance to a maze. 'Well, might as well.' He walked through the entrance.

NOTE: Heh, heh....I put a bit of backstory in there! Sorry, it's really long now. Hope it didn't bore anyone.

Her eyes widened and she ran toward the enemy as quickly as she could. In a moment she was two feet in front of him, pulling her arm back for a furious punch to its face.

"THATS RIGHT YOU...BOX."
Mai sighed, she was yelling at a box.
Walking through the end of the town, she came across another gate, walking inside, a gate shut behind her, trapping her in this new maze.
"....i hate this place..."
and she walked forward through.

Miu entered the town and smiled at it. "Hello world!" She screamed at the top of her lungs into the emptiness.

Continue through the maze since there is nothing around to attack.

>Theo

The minotaur is able to bring its sledgehammer back in front of him to push the sword to Theo's left side, then it brings its free hand back to unleash a punch against the opponent.

>Xander

The horse rams through the door and neighs loudly, looking for him.

>Rai

The assassin stands up for a split moment then jumps back, landing on his feet. He jumps to the side, dodging the flame then running back at you, a kunai poised in each hand.

>Arrai

As he was holding the head of the unknown woman, it turned to dust, along with the body on the ground.

You may now proceed to level 2

>Larien

The birds were destroyed and the way to the maze was clear

>Rose

The centaur was stunned as her fist connected with its face, using it's back hooves to stay standing. The arrows didn't slow down, instead they started to fall faster. Recovering from shock in a moment, the centaur grabs Rose and throws her up into the air at the arrows still falling.

>Mai

The maze was calm and collected. There was nothing in sight, for the moment. But it doesn't mean that nothing could be heard. A soft wince was heard a few turns down the maze, like someone was crying. Or something, for that matter.

>Miu

There was no reply in the town, from a person, but there were some hawks now making there way towards the unknown girl. A total of 5 surrounded her, one making a loud screeching noise, and the others flying in a circle above her head.

After a few minutes of relative silence and explosions and whatnot in the air, Neon sighs and keeps walking, idly tapping his fingers on the rifle in a disjointed rhythm. Gee, it's rather boring in this maze.

He pauses for a moment and fires a shot into the air, only for it to come in contact with an electrical field and fall back to the ground. Well, there goes one way out. And behind him, the road seems to have shifted as well. Looks like they're all trapped in this maze.

Cupping his hands to his mouth, he takes a deep breath and..

"Hell-ooooo?!"

That would provide a good enough heads up for anyone else in his way.. or anyone else in the maze, period. Smiling for no reason at all, he keeps walking, humming a strange tune as he does so.

Larien entered the maze cautiously, blood still dripping from his arm here and there. He turned around noticing immediately that the entrance to the maze had closed. Well it was probably useless to memorize his route. So Larien proceeded making twists and turns to head towards the center of the labyrinth.

"crying..thing...silent..hill....must..leave..."
Mai tried to turn around, only to walk back to where she was standing, and sigh as she turned a corner, walking through the 'empty' maze as the crying got louder.

"Time to kick it up a notch!" Rai's eyes glowed a vivacious violet and his clothes shined a bright lavender. His double-edged sword which he now held in his hand glowed a dark purple aura. Rai struck the ground with his sword and a rush of poison-tipped spikes sped towards the assassin.

As the head faded into dust a small crazed smile spread across Arrai's face. "Now I know why I wasn't that attracted to her...." She had reminded him of his mother. "Mother, dearest where are you? Don't run and hide~!" He began to walk towards the maze. "Come out, come out, come out to play~!" He entered the maze his madness growing.

Miu Made an upset noise at the lack of humans but smiled at the sight of the hawks. She started to laugh and giggle with evil seeping from each. Clutching her sword she jumped up and jumped on the hawk closest to her, or at least tried, in a some what spinning motion with her sword out stretched in hopes of striking the other hawks as well.

Rose gasped by this and turned her body in the air, rotating it so the arrows miss and fall down to collide with the ground.
