Description- Setsuna is approximately 6’ tall, he has spiky black hair and always wears a fedora that is purposely placed at an angle so his eyes are barely seen. Setsuna has rich crimson eyes that change to a deep dark blue/purple when he enters Reverse mode. Setsuna is always wearing formal attire: black dress shoes that have plates made from an indestructible metal on it, black pants, black jacket, a deep navy blue dress shirt, and a black tie. He wears a black silver ring on his left hand that has a sapphire colored stone on it. Inscribed on the ring are the words “Liberta Modifica” On both of his wrists he has a bracelet that is the same color and same material as his ring. Sometimes the handle of a gun can be seen sticking out of his jacket. He wears around his neck a gold xhain necklace that his wife gave to him.
Reverse mode: When Setsuna enters reverse mode black wings composed of shadow materialize on his back. His face becomes blank and expressionless.
Weapons/Abilities- Setsuna is extremely agile and nimble. He has a hand gun that he can load a variety of bullets into that have different effects when fired. The ring he wears has a variety of uses as well, some of the abilities include making a barrier. The bracelets on he wears can become a gauntlet that covers his arms when activated by his ring. The gauntlets increase his punching strength, and can be used to fire blasts of fire, ice, and other elements. He also has super human strength.
Reverse mode: He can now hide in shadows when it is dark or available. He can temporarily immobilize people by standing on their shadows. He can move faster and has faster reflexes than when normal. His gauntlets can now fire blasts of sonic waves and d “Dark energy”. His strength is also increased.
Setsuna can only maintain reverse mode for half an hour, and after the time limit is reached he becomes exhausted and all his abilities falter. He becomes slower his reflexes and judgement becomes sluggish. On an occasional basis after exiting reverse mode he becomes unconscious.
Personality- Setsuna is a very formal and polite person. He treats others with respect and dignity. He is very calm and collected, also he is very charismatic. He is often told he is handsome and a charmer. (But mostly from women he has met) His aspect on life is to take everything calmly and rationally and not to make rash judgements or jump to conclusions. But often he is said to have a lack of emotion due to his normally blank facial expression. He does however show happiness but rarely due do a tragedy that occurred to him. Unlike his brother normally women come to him not the other way around.
Background- Setsuna and his fraternal twin bother Kyoya grew up together in nobility and a lavish lifestyle, in a large cityscape. The city was known as Terona located on neutral lands between Sol and Ragalia. The Shinjiro family “ruled” over Terona. His family was respected by everyone as they always treated everyone politely. Though his family was rich they know that everything has value and is not to be taken lightly. He and his brother would always go into the city and surrounding areas to explore and meet people. When he was sixteen he inherited his family’s fortune and responsibilities along with his brother as their father had passed on from a severe case of tuberculosis. He and his brother watched over Terona with great dignity and respect. The city-folk adored him and his brother and claimed they were the best leaders they’ve ever had. At age eighteen he had become a skilled fighter and was constantly the center of attention among women, and was subject to his brother’s jealousy.
One day he and his brother explored the nearby lands and came across some ruins that were believed to belong to a civilization that was present from a time before Solace had separated into the 4 continents. Within the heart of the ruins He and his brother came across a chamber that had two pedestals each with an odd stone on top. One had a blue stone and the other had a red one. Setsuna touched the blue stone while his brother had touched the red. The chamber lit up and was bathed in blue and red light and he and Kyoya were knocked out. When he woke up an unknown voice echoed in the chamber, “Ye, who has touched the stone of blue, Noise and shadow will ye rule.” After the voice disappeared images of the apt civilization flooded his mind, and when the images faded he learned that he could not manipulate shadows and sound. His brother however was transported to a different chamber and when he found Kyoya his right eye was glowing a bright emerald green and he became blind in that eye. Several days had past when his brother said his eyesight was returning but it was different as he said he could see more vividly and if he focused he could see farther away.
For several years Setsuna and Kyoya honed their abilities and Setsuna became a fearsome fighter and his brother became an excellent marksman and sniper. Setsuna developed his two bracelets and ring based off his research of the civilization he encountered. He also designed a one of a kind handgun that he always carries with him. Soon Ragalia decided to expand their territories and they invaded Terona. Setsuna and his brother fought off most of the Ragalians until emperor Rufus Ragalia came to the front lines and single handedly defeated Setsuna and his brother. There he and his brother lay nearly dead as Rufus gave them a proposal, “You two join me and I will spare this town’s inhabitants.” Setsuna had non choice but to accept as he knew there was no way for him to defeat Rufus and he agreed to his demand. Rufus did spare everyone but he also twisted it. He ordered everyone was to be imprisoned and the city to be razed. Several days later He and his brother became the two man assassination team under Rufus’s command in order to keep the prisoners alive. For several years he and his brother worked under Rufus and received their titles “Black Ace” and “Red Joker” Setsuna’s title had come from his abilities from controlling shadows. During his years under Rufus’s service Setsuna married a Ragalian noble, and Rufus congratulated him on his marriage.
For several months he lived with his wife in peace and also learned that she was pregnant. Amidst the happiness there was turmoil as Rufus gave him his next target, his father-in-law who was suspected of treason. Setsuna was outraged by his order and blatantly refused in rage, because of his rash actions he was imprisoned by Rufus. Setsuna was imprisoned for several days until he was summoned by Rufus to the throne room. As he entered the throne room he saw that his wife was also summoned here, when he reached the center of the throne room he was restrained by the royal guard and he demanded from Rufus, “What is going on here!?” Rufus simply grinned and said, “Let’s just say, this is your punishment for defying me.” He then raised his sword and stabbed Setsuna’s wife instantly killer her and their unborn child. Setsuba broke free of the guards and screamed in rage and grief as he dashed at Rufus and lashed out at him. Before he even landed an attack Rufus had struck him rendering him unconscious. He then told the guards, “Take him away and leave him in the wild for the beasts. Also burn the corpse on the burial grounds.” As Setsuna’s wife’s corpse was about to be burned his brother Kyoya broke in and escaped with his sister-in-law’s body and fled from Ragalia. Setsuna woke up finding himself in the middle of nowhere amidst the barren tundras of Ragalia. He clutched the necklace that his wife had given him and screamed in rage and grief while crying, “DAMN YOU RUFUS!”
Setsuna wandered through Ragalia and soon found his way back to the capital. There he met his brother before they separated telling him of his plan. His brother had also told him the secret location where his wife and chilled were laid to rest. His brother Kyoya soon left Ragaila to journey across Solace and became a freelancer. For 5 years Setsuna snuck his way through Ragalia freeing prisoners of Rufus’s conquests and they banded with him. He Soon returned to the capital and snuck into the prisons freeing his people and scattered them across Solace telling them there will be a time when Terona will rise again. He made his dedication to free those who unwillingly do Rufus’s bidding and he engraved onto his ring two words, “Liberta Modifica”. To this day he travels around Solace liberating people who oppose Rufus and his tyranny. He also carries a small black book that has information on over 100 different women that he has met... or dated.
