Description- Raven has a rather unexciting appearance as a whole. His face is angular, with an equally angular nose and black eyebrows that prefere to be slanted. His body is slender, yet is covered in 6 foot and 2 inches of lean muscle. His hair hangs rather messily over his face and down the back of his cranium in unkept spikey layers. It is off the deepest black, as though he wears shadows ovr his scalp. his long bangs are usually seen covering his narrow and deepset eyes. As stated although Raven has a rather unexciting appearence it is the samll details that truely show the remarkibilty of his person, such as the jagged scar that runs across his left cheek, over the bridge of his nose and down again on the oppisite cheek. Also, his eyes are stained by a deep crimson, the pupils narrower and more cat like than a regular human. Which is to be expected, considering that Raven is in fact a half demon. If one were to remove the rather plain gray shiet found over Raven's torso (he preferes to not wear it anyway) one would find a tangle of twisting ivory like black tatoos roping down his back and twistig down his arms. It is from these strange rune-like tatoos that his black wings are magically summoned. With a wingspan of rouhly eight feet, Ravens wings shine with an almost regal sheen, much like the bird with which he shares names. The lower half of Raven consists maily of black trousers extending to just past the knee, secured to his waist by means of a rather simpl leather belt. From this belt hangs his long sword and short sword, both strapped horizontaly on the half humans lower back. A dagger is lashed to his thigh by means of a rawhide strap. Underneath the black trousers are a pair of maroon trousers, extending to above the ankle and covering the tops of leather traveling boots. Studded leather straps securce both pairs of trousers tightly to his legs at both his knees. Raven's left hand is adorned by a custom leather glove extending to halfway up the forearm and consisteing of interlocked srips of black and red leather. His left hand is wrapped in a simpl gauze.
Weapons/Abilities- Ravens primary weapoms consist of a long curved broadsword, which he dual wields with a machete like short sword. Both are worn from use but still in great condition due to good care taking. The knife on his thigh is not used in fighting unless absolutley called for, and is rather used as an everyday work knife for cutting rope skinning hunted animals etc. Raven, being half demon is giftd by large balck wings with which he can use to fly and to help manuver with. Also due to his demonc heritage, Raven is both faster and stronger than most humans. Raven is also blessed with the Gaurdians Blades. Dual swords, a dark purple one falacion like in apearence, and a silver one, the edge straight and topped with a rounded tip. Strange, blue flames are oft to be seen extending from the swords Raven can direct and send waves of the flames at his foes using them. But thier great power do come at a price. Raven cannot use the Gaurdian Blades for to long due to physical strain they cause to his body. And after using them he is severly weakened from fatigue for quite a time. It is also important to note that Raven, due to his extraordinary genetic make-up, cannot feel pain. His body still suffers damage, and eventually if he takes to much damage his body shuts from exhaustion, but he cannot feel it. His wounds also tend to heal many times faster than usual, though trying to heal several wounds at once has a tendency to tire him very quickly.
Background-To understand certain aspects of Ravens personality one must first understand certain aspects of Ravens childhood. Raven was birthed, due to complicated cercumstances to the queen of Demons and the keeper. The Keepers being a line of humans bent on protecting Raven's world by using the power of the Gaurdian Blades. Raven's world has no love for half breed abominations, so he was kept secret. He had a half brother Keon at the time of his birth and as they boys grew older it became quite apparent that they did not like each other. Raven being a natural born fighter, garnered most of the late Keepers attention. And also being the youngest, he held much attention from the boys mother as well. Keon resented Raven and hated him on a daily basis. Since a young age Raven trained with his father, becoming suffeciant in the Keepers art of sword wielding. For 9 years the two trained, Raven quickly mastering his fathers form. It was shortly after this 9 year mark that due to another set of circumstances, the most important event in ravens short life would take place. His father attempted to seal the demon queen away aftr finding her with Raven...about to kill him. Keon unfortunoutly happened to appear at the time of the struggle and in a blind rage, in an effort to save his mother attacked and killed the late keeper...but alas he was to late, the queen was sealed and it was at that moment that keon would forever lose his sanity, with anger bubbling through his vains like hot acid he turnred and struck at Raven. Raven, his demonic instincts taking over struck back. The two boys scarred each other, explaining Ravens facial scar. Barley managing to escape Keon's wrath, travelled several miles before his body shutdown from exhaustion. Going into a self preservation mode, Raven ended up sleeping for roughly 700 years as his body rebuilt itself. When he awoke he could remember nothng, of his mother, father, keon or his keeper heritage. It wasnt until after he would meet Keon again tha he would learn of them and he would leave on a journey to find his destiney, his vengence, and his true self.
Personality-The best way to describe Ravens personality, is actually to describe his lack there of. Raven, having slept for over 700 years, woke up forgetting several things, the part of his brain that controlled his emotions and memories was so underused during his sleep that it became dormant, Raven had frogotten how to feel, it would take some time, but the emotions would return to him eventually, although greatly suppressed. Not many things does Raven like. They number only a few the main three being fighting, cooking, and playing the flute (all of which he is greatly skilled at). Raven tends to be uncaring on a permanent basis, the only thing able to relax him being rain, for he really enjoys the rain. Despite having a seemingly heartless policy of killing any who draw a blade against him, he actually doesnt always live up to it. He has a soft spot for children and other people who can relate to him. Raven has a tendency to be overcritical, seeing flaws in most things.He is often interprited as rude, but is actually just speaking whatever he feels as he has no real knowledge of manners. Never attempts to make a move without carefully analysing many small details, though his analytical mind can run through many scenarios rather quickly. Raven has a set system of beliefs about the world, and whenever these beliefs are challenged he finds himself deeply confused and unsure of what to do. Actually somewhat of a laidback person only three things exsist that can make him truely angry 1-Keon, 2-threatening or harming those he considers his allies. and 3-mocking his inability to read...
